What is
an American Corner?
The American Corner Akko (ACA) is located in the New Community Center Old-City Akko (Acre). ACA is a partnership between the Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States of America in Israel and the Municipality of Akko.
It provides accurate and timely information about the United States to the general public of Israel.
It also provides a venue for guest U.S. speakers, meetings with American Studies and English Language teachers, and Digital Video Conferences with experts in the United States.
Membership is free and open to the general public. The collection includes books, pamphlets, and DVDs on America in English, Hebrew, Russian, and Arabic.
The American Corner provides a user-friendly atmosphere for its users. Free Internet access for educational searches is another valuable service.
